Kay Wing PT, DPT, NCS, GCS

Founder and President

Kay Wing, founder and president, received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University and her certificate in physical therapy from Northwestern University. During her 35 years of practice she has managed rehabilitation departments throughout Phoenix.

Kay is currently president of the Arizona Physical Therapy Association. She is certified by the American Physical Therapy Association as a Neurological Certified Specialist, as well as a Geriatric Certified Specialist. She is an adjunct faculty for Northern Arizona University and for A.T. Still University. In 2008, Kay received the Clinical Excellence in Neurology Award from the Neurology Section of the American Physical Therapy Association. In 2003, the Arizona Physical Therapy Association awarded her the prestigious "Physical Therapist of the Year" award. Her passion is to work with survivors of stroke and other neurological injuries.

She enjoys running, sailing, hiking, biking and reading.


Liz Meisenheimer, PT

Physical Therapist

Liz is a Phoenix native and received her physical therapy degree from California State University, Fresno in 1979. She has had a variety of experiences in neurological and orthopedic inpatient and outpatient settings. In the past 2 years she has specialized in outpatient neuro rehab. Liz is currently serving as the Clinical Director at SWAN. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three daughters in addition to gardening, cooking and scrapbooking.


Monique Macias, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

Monique graduated from Midwestern University with her occupational therapy degree. She received the ArizOTA COTA Of The Year award in 2002. Among her neurological rehabilitation experience is field work in adult neuro rehab and stroke rehab at the University of Birmingham Hospital, home of the Constraint Induced Movement Therapy research program. At Scottsdale Healthcare Monique worked in the acute neuro rehab program and was on the development team for the intensive outpatient neuro rehab day program. When Monique isn't hands on remodeling her home she enjoys reading and hiking.


Gillian Porter, OTR/LGillian Porter, OTR/L

After earning a Master of Arts Degree in Criminology, Gillian spent ten years working various jobs in the criminal and juvenile justice systems, to include researcher in PA and adult probation officer in AZ. Realizing crime doesn't pay, Gillian switched gears and obtained her Master of Occupational Therapy Degree from Midwestern University. She joined the SWAN Team in April 2008 to further her interest in stroke and neuro rehabilitation. Gillian brought with her two years experience as a co-coordinator of Stroke Camp. Gillian enjoys hiking, camping, biking, and spending time with her many pets.

Physical Therapist Assistant

Anar received her associates of applied science degree in 2005 for Physical Therapist Assistant from Gateway Community College. She has been with SWAN Rehab since March 2006. She has extensive training on REO Therapy. Anar, an avid hiker, is fluent in Gujarti an Indian dialect and hails from Detroit, Michigan.


Leonard Wood, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Leonard was born in Virginia, grew up in Maryland. He now lives in sunny Arizona with his wife. He recently earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University. He joined the SWAN team in June 2007. He discovered his passion for physical therapy after the many years he spent as a professional modern dancer. Leonard also enjoys gardening: dahlias are currently his favorite bloom. He loves hiking and many different genres of music.


Mary Lynn Mangold, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Mary Lynn received her associates of applied science degree in physical therapy and worked as a physical therapist assistant for 14 years. In 1997, Mary Lynn completed her Bachelors of Arts degree in Kinesiology and in 2007 she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University. Mary Lynn has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings in Colorado and Arizona. Mary Lynn enjoys traveling and scrapbooking.

Physical Therapist

Adair Kredit received her B.S. from Northern Arizona University and her Masters of Physical Therapy from University of Southern California. She was raised in Phoenix. She has 15 years experience working with stroke and head injury survivors. She has taught PNF, and is an assistant instructor at the NAU summer neuro clinic. Adair has helped develop and guide SWAN programs since inception. She is a leader in her women's organization at church and in her 2 children's PTA. Adair has completed 2 medical missions (Cambodia and Poland). She enjoys entertaining friends, being a Mom and aerobics.


Mary Daley, PT, GCS

Physical Therapist

Mary has been with SWAN Rehab since opening day in September 2003, she is originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin and graduated with her B.S. in Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 2004 she was named Arizona's "Outstanding Physical Therapist". She is a Geriatric Certified Specialist with a strong interest in integrated wellness. Mary leads a very active lifestyle that includes reading, golfing, counted cross stitching, hiking, traveling and spending quality time with her eight grandchildren.


Stacy Dorsett, Office Manager

Stacy, a native Phoenician, began her career with SWAN Rehab in February 2004 as a PT tech and soon progressed to office manager. She is looking forward to starting school at Gateway Community College where she will train to become a Physical Therapy Assistant. Stacy has many interests include country music and saddle riding. She rides English or Western, Western saddle being her favorite.


Tiffany Britt, Front Office Assistant

Tiffany a native Arizonan joined SWAN Rehab in December 2006 and will be leaving in August to pursue a nursing degree at Pheonix College. She received her Bachelors degree in Engineering in 2002 from ASU. She loves the forested outdoors, ATV and quad riding.


Karen Bishop, BillingKaren Bishop, Billing

Karen is originally from Auburn, WA. She received her accounting degree from Green River Community College and her certificate in Medical Billing from Bryman School. She loves medical billing, reading non-fiction, biographies, and spending time with her three kids.


Dennis Starkins, HOPE Trainer

Dennis was born in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Arizona in 1956. After graduating from Scottsdale High School in 1959, he attended ASU where he received a BA in Secondary Ed-Physical Education. He has been a Phoenix Fire Department Captain and worked as Safety Manager for St. Josephs Hospital. He is a Certified Senior Personal Trainer and Senior Fitness Director. Dennis has four children and six grandchildren. He enjoys mountain biking and coaching his grandson's basketball team.
